Our new Mezuzah Shop is right here in Brentwood to provide you with
a huge variety of Mezuzah cases and scrolls as well as the full range of
services!
We have a fabulous selection of styles, sizes and prices of cases to suit
everyone’s tastes and budget! Once you have chosen a case, pick a
scroll from our large range of Kosher scrolls.
In addition to these beautiful items of Judaica, we offer several services
including checking that your existing scrolls are still Kosher, as well as
unique solutions to mounting your new Mezuzah in a hard-to-reach
doorway and other related concerns. We provide advice on how to take
care of and maintain your Mezuzah. We welcome your questions.
Thanks to the generosity of members of our community, we are able to
provide subsidies to assist everyone to have a Kosher Mezuzah,
regardless of their ability to pay.
What is a Mezuzah?
A mezuzah is a small parchment scroll upon which the Hebrew words of the Shema are handwritten by a scribe, and works as a special Jewish Security System.
What is a Kosher Mezuzah?
A Kosher mezuzah is handwritten by an expert scribe who is trained in the many laws involved in writing a mezuzah. It is important how it is written. Every Hebrew letter on the parchment must be properly formed.
How do I Hang a Mezuzah?
A mezuzah is typically hung by the homeowner but i can be hung by any Jew that understands how to affix one.
Mezuzah Checking
All Mezuzahs should be checked at least twice every 7 years to make sure they were installed correctly, and to ensure that parchments and cases do not have cracks or damage.
